Kath Hall (County Coaching Officer) would like to thank all those coaches who attended the recent 'Regional Coaching Conference' and Lloyd brown, who gave up his own Saturday to act as main presenter. Lloyd provided a unique presentation that was so informative that the morning 'coffe-break' was forgotten altogether. Lloyd is employed for G.N.A.S. by funding through UKsport and not through member contributions as often thought.

News Postings - May 13^th 2010

Committee changes from the recent county A.G.M. are now shown on the 'committee' page. Also two decisions were made at the meeting following the AGM and are as follows.

Anticipating extra work for club secretaries after the changes to GNAS fee payment for new members affiliating AFTER the annual affiliation time (end of September) the county will not require a fee to be paid to the county for the part year remaining. In effect, new members will be part of the county but pay no 'partial' fee. At the following re-affiliation time, the normal county fee will be required. We have no details of plans from the Region, reference a 'partial' year fee as no meeting of the region has been held since the G.N.A.S. A.G.M.

A junior shooting a 'senior' INDOOR round but part of a 'junior' affiliated 'same name' club can represent the senior 'same name' affiliated club as part of a 'club team', provided the team make-up is adhered to.

For further details please read the meeting minutes. The next meeting is to be held on Monday 14th June at Backworth hall at 7-30pm.

It should be noted that GNAS have changed the method of collecting fees from new members from 1st January 2011. How this change will effect the county and regional fee paid has not been decided. Once known this will be reported here. ALSO a link to the Belsay castle Longbow shoot is now in place.
