The County Coach Officer, Ian Norwood, would like to extend his thanks to the coaches and archers that turned out on Sunday 20th to make the junior coaching day a great success. The whole team would like to make a special shout out to Coach Jenny, who has become a member of the coaching team having once been one of the junior athletes. We would also like to thank Coach Thomas who made the journey all the way from Thirsk Bowmen to help out and see what it is we do.
The archers worked extremely hard belying the fact that most of them have been in the sport less than eighteen months.
“Going forward, what is very encouraging for the county is seeing archers from so many ‘new’ clubs, some travelling as far afield as Berwick to be there.”
His thanks also go to Durham City Archers and their team for making everyone so welcome and for the use of their venue.
