DESCRIPTION:Open Competition\nOutdoor\n\n🎄 One last shoot before the New Year! Riverside Archers invite archers from all societies to their 2026 Frostbite competition on Sunday 27 December 2026 at Thorp Academy\, Ryton. \nHad your fill of turkey and Christmas pudding? Fancy some fresh winter air? Wrap up warm\, dust off your bow and join Riverside Archers for a festive day of outdoor archery! ❄️🏹 \n🏹 Competition Details\n\nDate: Sunday 27 December 2026\nVenue: Thorp Academy\, Main Road\, Ryton\, Tyne & Wear\, NE40 3AH\nRound: 6 dozen (72) arrows at 30 yards on an 80cm target face\nAssembly: 10:50am\nShooting: 11:00am\, with a break after 3 dozen arrows\nEntry fees: Seniors £10 | Juniors £5\nClosing date: Friday 18 December 2026\n\n☕ Festive Refreshments\nDon’t worry if you’ve had a Christmas lie-in! Sandwiches will be available from approximately 9:30am until 10:30am\, with tea\, coffee and hot chocolate available throughout the day on a self-service honesty-box basis. \n🎅 Wrap Up Warm!\nThis is an outdoor competition in December\, so please dress for the winter weather. Christmas jumpers\, Santa hats and a little festive cheer are very welcome! \nIf the weather is particularly cold\, limited heated bow storage will be available\, particularly recommended for longbow archers. \n❄️ Important Information\n\nCompound bows are not permitted due to insufficient overshoot.\nFull carbon arrows are not permitted due to the shared sports field.\nEntries are limited and will not be accepted after the closing date.\n\n📝 How to Enter\nDownload the entry form below for full details\, including payment instructions.
