County Team Manager – Job DescriptionPurpose of the RoleTo lead, organise, and support the DNAA Senior and Junior County Teams on behalf of the County Executive. The role ensures that all selected archers are properly prepared, well‑supported, and professionally represented at county events, maintaining high standards of welfare, communication, and operational delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesBefore Events* Coordinate squad training sessions and preparation activities.* Liaise with the County Coaching Officer where coaching support is required.* Attend squad selection meetings and contribute to team coordination.* Attend county meetings where possible to report on team matters.* Provide clear pre‑event communication to all selected archers, including schedules, expectations, and expense claim deadlines.* Organise the stock, distribution, and recording of County Team date bars and loan shirts.During Events* Act as the primary point of contact for all DNAA team members.* Ensure archer welfare, including hydration, refreshments, sun protection, and general wellbeing.* Track the shooting schedule and ensure archers are in the correct place at the correct time, especially for H2Hs.* Distribute team shirts, badges, and date bars; maintain accurate records of items issued.* Collect all loan shirts after awards and ensure they are returned in full.* Arrange a full team photograph, record names and positions, and send to the County Records Officer for archival use.After Events* Send photos and results to the County Webmaster for website and social media publication.* Prepare a short written report for the next county meeting.* Ensure all archers submit expenses within the required timeframe.* Reconcile date bar distribution and loan shirt returns with county records.Events Covered* National County Teams Championships (Lilleshall).* NCAS Intercounties (Junior Day 1, Senior Day 2).Role Expectation* Ideally not shooting at the event to maintain full availability for team support.Other Duties* Undertake any additional responsibilities reasonably requested by the DNAA Executive that relate to the effective running, welfare, or representation of the County Team.County Team Manager – Person SpecificationEssential* Organised — manages schedules, logistics, kit, and communication efficiently.* Caring — attentive to archer welfare and able to support both juniors and seniors.* Knowledgeable — understands competition formats, event flow, and county processes.* Robust — calm under pressure, confident in decision‑making, and able to handle issues professionally.* Clear communicator — gives concise instructions and maintains positive relationships with archers, parents, coaches, and officials.* Reliable — available for both major county team weekends each year.Desirable* Experience in county‑level archery environments.* Experience supporting or coaching archers.* Comfortable preparing short reports and handling simple admin tasks.
