Coaching & Development
Whether you’re taking your first steps in archery, looking to develop your shooting, or interested in becoming a coach, coaching plays an important part in helping archers across Durham and Northumberland enjoy and progress in the sport.
The DNAA County Coaching Team provides a point of contact for coaching matters across the county, helping clubs, coaches and archers access information, guidance and development opportunities.

Meet the County Coaching Team
DNAA’s county coaching provision is supported by Ian Norwood and Martin Ruerup, who are working together to help clubs, coaches and archers across Durham and Northumberland.
Martin is currently taking over the County Coaching Organiser role from Ian, who is supporting the handover. During this transition, both are happy to help with coaching enquiries, so please feel free to contact either of them.
Have a coaching enquiry? Ian and Martin are both happy to help, whether you’re an archer, coach or club representative. You can contact either member of the team.
