The Jimmy Melvin Memorial shoot will be taking place on the 1st of July, entry is for longbows only and we will be shooting Windsor rounds. All levels of skill are invited, this is a fun archery day

National Inter-counties Entires

It is that time of year and we have to start thinking about team selection for the National Inter-counties.

Could you please enter your scores following Appendix “F” of the DNAA constitution with the deadline being 2 June (Midnight).  The committee will meet as soon as possible thereafter and the team will be announced on the DNAA Website.

We can advise that twin rooms have been booked for all team members.

County AGM

Ladies and gentlemen.
The AGM is fast approaching us (15 May 2017 at Park View Community Association, Church Chare, Chester-le-Street, Durham, DH3 3PZ commencing 7.30 pm). All current DNAA Members are welcome and indeed are encouraged to join us. Don’t forget its your county and should you wish to have a say in how it is run you should put your suggestions/recommendations through your club representatives but your presence at any meeting as an observer is always welcome. Minutes of all meetings are sent to club secretaries (assuming any change of correspondence address has been advised) and these should be disseminated to all current DNAA Members.

Should anyone wish to nominate a DNAA Member to any of the following posts, please notify the current County Secretary (Sharon Tideswell) of the name of the person and the post . Please also provide contact details of the person nominated so we can check with them that they are happy to be nominated:-
Chairman;
Secretary;
Treasurer;
Records Officer;

Pentangle

After painstakingly deliberating, the Executive Committee have decideed that this year we are not sending a team to the Pentangle.
A lot of time and effort has been expended in attempting to contact the organisers of this historical shoot and when contact was eventually made, we were notified that the shoot is to be incorporated into another event.
Due to the lack of communication and demands being placed on entries, the County are unable to select a team for 2017.  Please accept our sincere apologies for the lateness in communicating this information to you.

Easter Shooting

Over the Easter Weekend some of our Juniors shot for the moon and managed to achieve a few goals, now its time to set some new ones.
 
Congratulations to all who travelled down to Lilleshall, the home of Archery GB to attend the Key Stage 1 Selection Shoot (for the World Champs in Argentina).  A great attendance and DNAA was represented by:-
 
Alex Wise (Bowmen of Walker), Damian Needs (Green Lane), Cameron and Morgan Donaldson (Cleadon) and Will Maddison (Norton).
Good Luck for Stage 2.
 
Not to be outdone, Cameron Taylor-Thorn has been selected to represent England at the Home Nations match at Lilleshall.  
Well done, you have done your County Proud.
