It is with deep sadness that I bring you the news that Chris Broad, one of the Founder Members of Riverside Archers suddenly passed away last Sunday 11th September. It only seems right and fitting that I let you all know as Chris taught and coached so many of us over the years and he will be greatly missed.

BROAD CHRISTOPHER (Prudhoe). Taken suddenly on 11th September 2016, aged 78 years, Chris. Beloved husband of the late Barbara, dearly loved dad, grandad and brother, Chris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Would friends please meet for a service in St. Mary Magdalene Church, Prudhoe, on Thursday 22nd September, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. A retiring collection in aid of The Tyneside Leukaemia Research Association will be available at the end of the service.

Email invitations to county clubs towards the winter ‘Castles League’ have been sent. Formerly the ‘Logical League’ for this, it’s tenth year, it has been extended to 9 divisions from the 7 previously. All county archers are welcome to participate and it’s FREE! If your club does not receive an email please do not be offended as I do not hold an exhaustive list, however, if you are not contacted and wish to enter the league for the coming indoor season please follow the guidelines found on the ‘Leagues’ page.
