Free Welfare Training Opportunities

Creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments is an important part of every sports club. A range of free training opportunities are available over the coming months for Club Welfare Officers, coaches, volunteers, committee members and anyone interested in developing their understanding of welfare, inclusion and participant wellbeing.

Whether you are looking to build your confidence, develop new skills, or simply learn more about supporting people within your club, these sessions provide an excellent opportunity to do so.


Banter vs Bullying Workshop

Find out what banter can look like in sport, why it can be so commonplace, and how to recognise when it may be crossing the line into bullying behaviour.

‘A Life Worth Living’ Suicide Prevention & Intervention Training

Delivered by Washington Mind, this training will equip participants with the information, knowledge and skills needed to have compassionate and supportive conversations with people within their club or organisation. These conversations can make a real difference and may help someone access the support they need.
