Pre-Covid we had a pretty good idea how many juniors there were in the county and who they were. As a great number of those juniors are now seniors or no longer shoot, we think it would be a great idea to invite all current juniors in the county to a fun day of archery. The idea being to give us a chance to get to know one another in a relaxed non-competitive way, it would also be an opportunity for coaches involved with the junior coaching program to meet the juniors and parents to let them know what they have planned for the indoor season. The day will comprise of a number of targets which will be novel and fun, distances will be worked out on the day but will be achievable by anyone there, and THERE WILL BE CHOCOLATE.
The fun day will be at Cleadon Archers, The Brian Trotter Field, Boldon Cricket Ground, Sunderland Road, East Boldon, South Tyneside. NE36 0BT, Saturday 16th July. Meet from 10:00 for shooting to commence at 11:30. We have a limited amount of space available, so to reserve places, please contact the County Coach Officer, Ian Norwood’s email DNAACoaching@gmail.com as soon as possible and no later than 30th June in order that we can assess the numbers interested.
Cost:- F.O.C.

Sad news from Ken Hargreaves – Fred the Service Dog was very well known in the County.
It’s with the saddest of hearts that I find myself writing this with tears in my eyes, as my very best friend, Fred the dog, has passed away in my arms….. he was the very best of me, always there for me at every turn of life.
We traveled the world together, always by my side at every turn. Always willing to work, no matter the time, location or situation. Fred the assistance Dog not only touch my heart, but that of many that had the very good fortune to meet him.
Fred has taken a part of my heart but also left part of his behind with Raleigh the assistance dog, who looked out for him as a brother towards the end.
Fred the dog (Friendly, Reliable, Exuberant, Dog.) the very best of the best. Thank you for your loyal assistance and daily service and love.
