Rob McQuilin (Cleadon Archers) sadly passed away at Sunderland Royal Infirmary on March 9th due to the result of contracting the Covid 19 infection.
He was active on the County tournament scene and shot alongside a good number of DNAA members.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
CONGRATULATIONS and best of luck to Liz Foster, who has also has a well-earned place at this years National Tour Finals. Shoot well and bring back some #Bling to the county
The county would like to say CONGRATULATIONS and best of luck to Cameron Donaldson, who has deservedly won a place at this years National Tour Finals. Shoot well and bring back some #Bling

The entry form for the 2020 National Flight Champs (incorporating NCAS Flight Champs) taking place on 16 August is here
Please note closing date 9 August and very specific Covid-19 rules.
Confirming the shoots planned by Norton for 12 & 13 September are cancelled.
If you saw Archery GB’s ‘Return to Competition’ update on 7th July you might have spotted this:
“The National Flight Championships are cancelled. However, we may be able to hold a record status shoot adhering to social distancing and other government guidelines, if it proves viable for the hosts. If you are interested in attending this, please contact Tony Bakes – email: tbakes@tbakes.karoo.co.uk”
I’m told this would take place at Church Fenton on either 9th or 16th August. If anyone needs help or info about shooting flight there would be instructions on the day – it really is an accessible discipline of the sport. (And a great chance to see how far an arrow can go!)
