Clout Workshop 24 March 2024

Blue skies for a Clout Workshop today led by Yorkshire’s Mark Hayes.
Huge thanks to Mark for his time and expertise. Thanks also to the experienced clout archers who showed up to offer help and support to archers (Abby, Jared, Eleanor, Chris, Helen, Ann, Ian, Trev, Rob)
Thanks to Green Lane Archers for hosting and Glenn & Trev for setup and to County Coach Officer Isn Norwood for supporting the event.

And special thanks to the 23 archers who attended and had a go at clout, we hope you all enjoyed it and are looking forward to trying clout again

Senior Coaching Day – Longbow & Barebow – Saturday 20 April

The CCO is pleased to announce details of the coaching day for longbow and barebow archers at Thorp Academy, Ryton on Saturday 20th April starting at 10:00am.  This will be an outdoor event as he has identified that some barebow and longbow archers need a little help getting reliable sight marks for the longer distances. He aims to provide general coaching, bow setup, arrow tuning, bow and arrow maintenance as well as being able to help with the longer distances. This workshop is primarily for senior archers but any junior moving up to 50m and beyond this year are also welcome to apply for a place.
There is a £10.00 charge for the day. To book please contact the County Coach Officer, Ian, on DNAACoaching@gmail.com. Details on how to pay will be sent by return, once payment is received it will secure the place.

Indoor Champs date / venue change

Due to unforeseen circumstances the venue for the County Indoor Championships (Churchill College) has had to close for the foreseeable future.  The County Indoor Championships has now been moved to St Giles Archery Club on 24 March at the Sir Bobby Robson Sports Centre, Ushaw Moor, Durham, DH7 7NG.
Two sessions will be available to archers with the first session commencing at 2pm and the second session at 5.30 pm  Presentation will follow the second session.  Those who have applied for entry have already been contacted and their entries transferred.  Should you still wish to enter, please do so using the form available on the website bearing in mind the venue, date and session time changes.
