DNAA Longbow Champs 19 August

Calling all longbow archers!
Just a little reminder that Riverside Archery Club are hosting the County Longbow Championships on Saturday 19th August.
The round is a Windsor, and you can choose a starting distance you are comfortable with from 30yds up to 60yds.
Riverside can’t promise warm weather, but they can promise you a warm welcome and a friendly shoot among likeminded archers.
The closing date is rapidly approaching, so if you want to enter, get an entry form sent off to the organisers.

Junior Fun Day @ Cleadon

Following on from a very successful indoor junior coaching program, juniors in the county were invited by the coaches to have a fun day shooting at Cleadon on Saturday 22nd.  Sadly. the weather was far from ideal which meant what was supposed to be a pleasant day, turned into a bit of a wash out.
Eighteen archers did however brave the rain and nevertheless had some fun shooting at the novelty targets.
Thanks go to Cleadon for the use of their field, to the coaches for turning out to support the day, to the juniors without whom the day would have been pointless, and to Chloe and Yasmin for painting two of the targets.

Kirknewton Metric Clout – Results

A small band of hardy archers braved something like a small monsoon to shoot metric clout this weekend, hosted by the wonderful folk at Kirknewton Archers. Thankfully the rain stopped in time for the presentations! Congrats to all the winners, thanks a million to Kirknewton Archers for putting on half of the clout shoots in the county and best wishes to Colin for his well-deserved retirement! 🏹
